Online Shipping Policy

Packages are shipped within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. During our peak seasons, such as Christmas, it may take 3–4 days to ship. Once shipped, please allow up to 7 business days for your package to arrive (Canada) and up 12 business days (United States). Most shipments in Canada and the United states will be made through Canada Post and will be bar coded. This will enable our customers the ability to have there shipments traced on line by using: Canada Post's tracking system.

All international shipments may take longer and will not be traceable.

How much will it cost to ship my package?

Shipping prices vary depending on the weight, dimensions and destination of your shipment. For the present time, shipping will be calculated after we package up your purchase and price it through the Canada Post online calculator and will not appear on screen at the time purchase. Purchase confirmations will be emailed back to you as soon as we calculate shipping. A base $3.00 fee will be charged for packing materials (bubble envelope / box with packing materials, etc.) All shipments will be insured and will be included in the postal rate.

Oversized and Overweight items

The fees listed above are based on smaller packages or parcels. When an item is deemed either overweight or oversized for Canada Post, alternate shipping methods are required and may result in additional costs. We will contact you with shipping costs prior to processing your order (Example –Sewing Machine Cabinets or Quilting Frames).

Shipping to the United States / International

We will email you with the rates as postage is based off origin, destination, weight and dimensions of the item. Packages will be sent First Class or Parcel Rate (Expedited) and the customer is responsible for all applicable government taxes, duties, custom fees or broker fees.

Uninsurable Countries

Quilt as Desired makes every attempt to package merchandise for optimum protection. However, if your country is uninsurable by Canada Post (see below), Quilt as Desired will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items; Quilt as Desired will not refund money or replace merchandise at no charge if you live in any one of these countries.
